Dimenzije (mm):Josip Broz Tito was a passionate hunter, and he hunted with great enthusiasm. He organised hunting trips in Karađorđevo, Bugojno, Brijuni, as well as, as shown in the photo, in Belje in September 1964. His numerous hunting trophies represented not only his achievements as a hunter, but also his connection with nature. In the years after World War II, Josip Broz Tito contributed significantly to the development of hunting and nature protection in Yugoslavia. He also introduced the practice of breeding and conservation of game, and the hunting got recognised as an industrial and sporting activity. The breeding of game with high trophy values is especially emphasised in order to encourage the development of hunting tourism. He was one of the first statesmen to be recognised by the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) for his efforts to protect nature and wildlife for the benefit of future generations.
